I fancied myself a writer from the age of 10 when a great aunt gave me her old Remington typewriter and I began writing a magazine I sent to family members monthly. Since then my writing has appeared in everything from local newspapers to small literary magazines to academic journals.
As my life was transformed thanks to Jesus so, too, was my writing. Now I write and I blog about living as a Jesus-follower, about doing my best to understand and love the world and its peoples as Jesus call us to.
While a teacher at heart, I'm first and foremost a storyteller, and I have a lot of stories about the life faith, many of which are rooted in my own journey in figuring out what it means to have the heart and mind of Jesus.
In all my work I strive to combine scriptural and theological insight with nuts-and-bolts application to daily life. I try always to be a voice of understanding and compassion.
